Jeffery Howell

Jeffery began his insurance career at Bay of Quinte Mutual in June 1991, as the Assistant Manager. In this role, Jeffery spent his time learning all aspects of the insurance business, focusing his attention on the finance and information technology roles. Jeffery was promoted to the position of Operations Manager in 1998, and became the General Manager in 2003. In 2004 Jeffery was elected to the board of directors of the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association, the provincial association for the 45 Farm Mutual Insurance companies in Ontario.

Jeffery graduated from Brock University in 1991, with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration, with a Major in Human Resources Management. Jeffery obtained his Chartered Insurance Professional designation in 2000. Jeffery was born in Belleville, and grew up in the Quinte area.

Art Wiersma

Art joined the board of directors of Bay of Quinte Mutual in February 2006.

Born in Kincardin Ontario, Art grew up in the Whitby-Oshawa area. Art started employment with the Ontario Provincial Police in 1969 at the Whitby detachment as a civilian radio dispatcher, and was posted to the Prince Edward detachment O.P.P. in July 1972 as a Provincial Constable. Art was an O.P.P. officer for 30 years, retiring in March 2000 at the rank of Detective. Art joined Bay of Quinte Mutual as a claims adjuster in October 2001.

Art resides in the West Lake - East Lake area of “The County” where he has owned and operated a highbush blueberry operation for the last 10 years. Art represents Zone 1 which encompasses the wards of North and South Marysburgh and Athol.

Mark Henry

Mark joined the board of directors in 1989 and served as President in 1992 and 2001. A dairy farmer for 15 years, Mark is currently in the process of establishing a farm-based store and event facility. Mark has worked with the Picton Farm Mutual Financial Services (a subsidiary of Bay of Quinte Mutual Insurance) since its inception, and has served as Chairman of their board for the past few years. Mark was recently elected to represent Group Seven Mutual Insurance companies on the board of Farm Mutual Financial Services.

Mark represents Zone 2 which encompasses - Wards of Hallowell, Hillier, Picton, Wellington, and Bloomfield.

Dalton Arthur

Dalton retired from Loblaws after twenty three years of service. Dalton is a member of the Storrington Lions Club, serving as President and Bar Chairman for five years. Dalton is the owner of Arthur Acres Limousin -- raising full blood and purebred cattle.

Dalton and his wife Nadene have two grown children and five grandchildren. Dalton is a supporter of Inverary United Church, and is Past Director of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture.

Dalton joined the board of directors of this company in 1997 and served as President in 2001. Dalton represents Zone 3 - which encompasses Frontenac County and all points East.

George Taylor George joined the board of directors in 1989 and served as President in 1991 and 1999. George represents Zone 4 which encompasses - Village of Brighton, Ameliasburg Ward, and the Townships of Brighton and Cramahe.

Steve Raymond

Steve joined the board of directors in 1996 and served as President in 2003. Steve represents Zone 5 which encompasses - Cities of Belleville and Quinte West.
Harry Scanlan

Harry and Marion Scanlan have lived in the area for nearly thirty years. Their farm at Stirling is a cow calf, cash crop business.

They have two grown children and are enjoying being new grandparents. Harry is active in his community in his church, and as a member and past President of the local Lions Club. Harry also serves on the board of directors of the Madoc Co-operative Association, and is currently Chair of that board.

After a thirty year career in various locations with Ontario Hydro, Harry is now retired. Harry joined the board of directors in 2002. Harry represents Zone 6 which encompasses - Villages of Stirling, and Campbellford, Townships of Rawdon, Seymour, Percy, & points North and West.

Grant Ketcheson

Grant joined Bay of Quinte Mutual in March 1992 and served as President in 1994 and again in 2002.

Retired from dairy farming in Madoc, Grant has been active in his community for over forty years. A former Fire Chief in Madoc Township, he also served as President of the Madoc Co-operative Association, President of Madoc Agricultural Society, and was a member of the Board of Governors of Loyalist College for eight years. Grant currently is the President of Madoc and District Chamber of Commerce and a member of the board of trustees of the Trinity United Church in Madoc.

Grant Harry represents Zone 7 which encompasses - Townships of Marmora, Huntingdon and all points North, including Renfrew County.

Donald Martin

Don joined the board of directors of Bay of Quinte Mutual in October 1969. He has served as President in 1979,1988, and 1997.

Don and his son Leslie operate a dairy and beef farm "Martinvale Farms" - in the Tweed area. An active curler Don was involved in starting the "Land O Lakes Curling Club" and has been an active member ever since.

Don has been very involved in municipal politics, serving as a councillor for nine years and as Deputy Reeve for three years in the Township of Hungerford. Don is a member of the Tweed Kiwanis Club, and member of the Tweed United Church. Don takes pride in being actively involved in his church, farming, and in the community.

Don represents Zone 8 which encompasses Town of Tweed and Townships of Elzevir and Tyendinaga.

Richard (Dick) Williams

Dick was raised on the family farm on Big Island where he attended public school at S.S, #15 Sophiasburgh. After high school he farmed with his father, until joining the newly created Assessment Department of Prince Edward County in 1964, he moved to the Trenton assessment office in 1970, where he stayed until his early retirement in 1997. Since his retirement Dick has been operating a small beef and cash farm venture along with doing some commercial fishing with his son Peter.

Dick has been a member of Sophisasburgh Fire Department since 1982, serving as Deputy Chief in 1992 and Chief since 1997. Dick is a member of and past steward of Friendship United Church in Demorestville.

Dick is a proud grandfather of three beautiful granddaughters. Dick and his wife Joan live in Northport and have been married for 43 years.

Dick represents Zone 9 which encompasses -Sophiasburgh Ward, Lennox and Addington County.
